The successful candidate must be able to work independently and be able to lead and direct the work of staff and consultants. Requirements of the position will include overall project responsibility including scheduling, budgeting, staffing and construction administration. The position will be accountable for all work performed as well as client relationships and profitability. Candidates MUST have a degree in architecture and strong, direct experience with design of public projects. Experience with civic facilities strongly preferred. California architecture license is required. Candidate will be responsible for several projects in all phases of development. Oversees design development, production of working drawings and construction documents and contract administration. This position requires someone who is capable of leading a team and is also willing to work on their own, when necessary. He/she must be a self-starter, design conscious and detail-oriented at the same time.
