Job Description:

A leading national law firm seeks a Payroll Administrator with 3+ years’ experience processing payroll. The candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties to assure the accurate preparation and processing of the firm's payroll. Responsible for processing payroll for the non-exempt staff on a weekly basis. Responds to employee inquiries for payroll related matters. Inputs payroll information into the payroll service bureau system (ADP) each week for processing the payroll for the non-exempt staff. Ensures all appropriate requests are properly approved and documented. Reviews the weekly payroll register to ensure information is accurate. Processes manual checks, as required. Prepares the wire for 401(k) deductions. Reconciles various payroll related general ledger accounts and ensures reconciling items are resolved promptly. Provides information in response to employment verifications. Acts as back-up for the payroll administrator, exempt staff. Processes the weekly journal entry for posting compensation information to the general ledger. Enters employee information into the Elite system timekeeper database. The candidate should have high school diploma; Associate's degree preferred. Experience with ADP payroll software is a plus.
