Job Description:
A producer of cereal and convenience foods seeks a Distribution Center Manager with 5+ years of experience in distribution operations. The candidate will manage the daily operational activities of warehouse and fleet for a Distribution Center(s) within a direct store delivery network. Assure timely and cost effective delivery of customer orders in partnership with sales/merchandising Team. Report to the Region Distribution Director and supervises office, warehouse, and delivery personnel; potentially across multiple locations. Works with sales management, ZM, DM, AM, TM and deployment. Regional and corporate staffs. Multiple business units within organization; HR, Finance, Internal Audit, Logistics, Capital/ Engineering.Annual case volume of 4.5MM. Office staff 4, warehouse 20 and drivers 33. Support external and internal customers; customer service, store relations, Sales support, and vendor relations. Ensure compliance to all Federal and State regulatory requirements; DOT, Sec 404, AIB, Internal/External Audits, DQF, HOS, and random drug testing. Responsible for a Safe work environment; forklift training, conducts safety meetings, EAP, workers comp. management, driver training. Will also be responsible for development and management of DC budget; accountability to Labor, fleet management, facilities expense. Provide leadership for employees; supervision of staff, PMP’s, Employee relations, HR and payroll compliance. Manage Inventory to meet customer requirements; order fill, capacity planning, deployment, forecasting, add/cuts. Manage supply chain to meet 48 hour, DC to shelf, order cycle; receiving, picking, shipping, route management, order accuracy. Maintain an effective operation; facilities and fleet management, maintenance, sanitation, and external vendor services. Manage multiple IT platforms; SAP, Cadec, PTV, DEX, Hyperion. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Solid computer skills as well as the ability to plan and organize are required.
