Job Description:
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive manufacturing strategy for two commercial products, supporting launch and ongoing manufacturing of a third commercial product, and all pipeline to commercial products forthcoming so they support our overall business and operations strategy/objectives. Assume P&L responsibility (conduct business analyses, establish budgets, and manage expenses). Coordinate with product development, supply chain, and commercial organizations to build cohesive relationships and sustainable supply strategies. Develop and foster effective relationships with core contract manufacturers. Provide outstanding leadership to our Manufacturing team to include hiring, managing, motivating, coaching, and mentoring. Drive continuous improvement processes through the organization. Demonstrate Amylin's Cultural Beliefs on a consistent basis. Develop appropriate career and succession plans for direct reports. Collaborate with team members in Marketing, Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Executive Management, and counterparts at alliance partners.
