Job Description:
Drive product and process quality improvements through multiple levels in an organization. Chairs continuous improvement team meetings, reviews metrics, assigns and manages technical projects to provide Quality and Value improvements.4. Implement and maintain manufacturing process capabilities and controls on production lines. Drives both creative innovation and disciplined problem solving methods throughout organization. 5. Identifies and champions manufacturing process development initiatives. Identifies future technology and intellectual property critical to future business growth and drives implementation. Ensures new designs are manufacturing capable. 6. Develops and ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirement. Oversight for disciplined project management methods and systems utilized within function. 7. Champions the sharing and leveraging of initiatives, processes, and accomplishments across the divisions/plants. 8. Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff. Defines, monitors and provides feedback to organization on functional and leadership competencies. 9. Responsible for succession planning and the development and implementation of retention strategies. 10. Interacts directly with senior management to provide recommendations and status of engineering function.
