POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Presenter will staff the Human Body Discovery Space doing demonstrations and interpretations with visitors, maintaining the exhibits, training and supporting volunteers, and responding to visitor and museum-staff questions and needs. Ensure that the Human Body Discovery Space is consistently presentable for visitors (opening/closing room, maintaining exhibits, reporting breakages, cleaning up, etc.). Present demonstrations and do interpretations for the public throughout the museum. Assist in the training, supervision and evaluation of the Human Body Connection (HBC) volunteer staff. Oversee daily scheduling of volunteers. Ensure that volunteers have any needed materials and props. Assist in the development and evaluation of activities and exhibits.
OPEN SHIFT: Thursdays 9am-5pm (includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break). During summer and school vacation weeks, the work schedule will be 11am-7pm. The position is temporary part time for one year, with possibility of renewal.
