Job Description:
As a Consultant you will be working with small teams of high-caliber specialists, delivering high quality custom financial software solutions across our clients operating platforms involving order management, portfolio management, portfolio analytics, accounting, and reporting (P&L, Risk, Exposure, Performance and Attribution). We are often engaged to address limitations or frustrations concerning critical software applications through enhancements or modifications, to create applications that replace off the shelf products or to create applications in the absence of an off the shelf product.
Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide strong development skills around a market center technology (.NET/C#/Java/J2EE/C++)
Develop according to a specification
Learn/Understand/Implement analysis and design fundamentals
Guarantee the technical delivery of all work you are directly involved in
Assimilate into new technologies at various client sites
Learn/Understand to outline tasks and reconcile them on a daily basis
Display ability to work with minimal supervision
Learn how to be client facing and function effectively in a client facing role
Provide interpersonal and people skills necessary to ensure the success of the engagement
Work closely with NorthPoint Senior Consultants and/or Project Leads to guarantee successful delivery of the work and growth of the account
Opportunity to mentor NorthPoint Associate Consultants
Serve as a role model for Associate Consultants
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Related Major
2-8 years of professional experience
C#, .NET (preferably WinForms), Object Oriented C++ or java experience
Strong Database (SQL) Development Skills
Full Life Cycle business application development experience with strong architecture, design, and development
Ability to lead a small, talented team of developers on a project
A strong interest in building important Financial Services Applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
