Job Description:
 A Fortune 500 company seeks a Materials Manager with 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environments, including experience in a managerial role. The candidate will be responsible for organizing, and managing the activities of the imports, exports (ITAR), stockroom, shipping and receiving to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials and services from the supply base to the customers dock. Establish practices and procedures to be followed by material handlers and logistics personal and other departments. Reviews and authorizes invoice payments, logistics vendor/supplier contracts, maintenance agreements, new construction requirements, leases, and delivery service contracts. Plans and schedules work flow and organize teams to meet production and shipping schedules. Ensures team conformance to organization policies and procedures. Initiates or recommends plans to motivate employees to achieve goals. Initiates or recommends methods to improve materials processes. Champions the organization's culture and communicates vision and goals regularly. Undertakes specifically assigned projects relating to Supply Chain and provides summaries, reports and recommendations on these subjects. Ensures company compliance with all export/import regulations and manages compliance issues with all outbound and inbound products, including returned goods from foreign countries and dangerous goods. Liaisons and acts as officer of company as delegated authority with US Customs, regarding clearance and/or compliance issues. Has process management and coordination responsibility for inventory management practices including cycle count process and physical inventory. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures. Coordinates and participates with plant supervision in disciplinary or termination actions. The candidate should have four-year college degree in business or materials management. Should have inventory management and manufacturing experience, with a strategic focus. Must be able to pass and maintain ATF Clearance.
