Job Description:
 A developer and manufacturer of membrane filtration systems seeks a Materials Manager with 8-10 years’ materials background in purchasing, production control and inventory control. The candidate will ensure that the highest quality of principles is practiced in transactions with suppliers and provide leadership in production, planning and execution of customer orders. Plan and implement staffing needed to maintain proper work flow in materials management for the upcoming future growth plans. Continue and improve the program of having suppliers hold inventory and delivery of product on demand. Work to improve on-time shipments. Improve the material supply chain by developing expectations for the suppliers, monitoring and holding the suppliers accountable, and improving the quality dialog with suppliers, leading to lower total cost. Identify, qualify and implement lower cost suppliers overseas and domestic. Reduce material variability of raw materials that go into membrane. Review, control and reduce purchase price variance. Where possible, use leverage of KII and KCTG spending. Reduce inbound and outbound costs by domestic rate comparisons and negotiations. Maintain current hazardous materials knowledge for all traffic supervisors. Ensure all direct reports understand and follow all compliance requirements, safety rules, and EH&S regulations. Complete all required training in a timely manner (code of conduct, Corporate Compliance, ISO). Understand and train all in MBM guiding principles. The candidate should have excellent skills in procurement, planning and inventory control. Should have the ability to negotiate orders for capital equipment, materials and services. The candidate should have B.S. degree in business or finance. Master’s degree required.
