Job Description:
An engineering and manufacturing corporation seeks a Recruiter with 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources, at least one of which should be directly related to recruiting. Under the direct supervision of the recruiting manager, performs full range of functions related to recruiting personnel. Develops ways to reach and attract candidates, makes initial contact, pre-screen candidates, determines employment options, coordinates employment offers, and facilitates the placement and hiring process. Develops a comprehensive program designed to identify potential qualified candidates for a wide variety of systems vacancies. This includes methods of advertising, posting and publicizing vacancies, searching available job boards and data bases, and providing qualified candidates to hiring managers throughout the company. Coordinates the responses to outreach efforts, pre-screening candidates, routing their resumes to the appropriate hiring managers/offices. Matches applicant's skills and experience against known vacancies and requirements. Using spreadsheets, or other equivalent tools, maintains records of candidates' status and progress through the recruiting process. Participate in Job Fairs, Transition Seminars, and other recruiting activities throughout the U.S. and, occasionally in overseas locations. Provide technical recruiting input and advice to business development/proposal managers as part of the proposal process. Develop recruiting strategies to support new business efforts. Maintain aggressive recruiting pace designed to shorten the timeline between identification of the requirement and the filling of the position. Coordinate background checks, employment verification, and reference checks, clearance status of potential candidates. Schedule and coordinate pre-employment interviews for candidates with hiring managers as required. Maintain records of results of interviews. Coordinate and schedule pre-employment physical exams/mental health exams/drug screens as may be required. May schedule and conduct new employee orientations. May be called upon to assist in areas of benefits, compensation, employee relation, employee development. May supervise the efforts of other personnel engaged in recruiting activities. The preferred candidate should have Baccalaureate Degree. Experience may be substituted for formal education. Overseas recruiting experience preferred. Familiarity with Kenexa, AS400 and a variety of Internet recruiting tools a plus.
