Working with over 89,000 employer groups and 150 insurance carriers, as well as members in all 50 states and 26 countries, Benefitfocus is uniquely able to impact millions of people ranging from the carrier to the consumer.As an operations engineer at Benefitfocus, you will play a key role in the daily operations of data translation, data loading, data research and application related issues. You must be experienced in researching data and application concerns from the clients, running importing/exporting activities and participating in User Acceptance Testing and Joint Carrier Testing in addition to providing excellent customer service to clients. To be considered for this position, you will need a minimum of two years experience financial, accounting, or electronic data interchange work experience. A strong history with SQL is required as well. Weblogic administration and configuration experience preferred.JOB REQUIREMENTS Required Skills: 2 years financial, accounting, or electronic data interchange work experience 2-3 years of SQL Experience Ability to read ER diagrams and explain them Understanding of audit tables, triggers, views and stored procedures Knowledge of regular expressions � Knowledge of NT servers and general OS operations Exceptional professional communication skills utilizing the telephone and e-mail with external clients and internal associates Ability to work with external clients to gather all relevant information pertaining to reported issues Ability to document issues and to work with Issues tracking systems Working knowledge of programming or any experience programming Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
