Oversees all process documentation, improvement strategies and training program procedures to assure consistency of operational tasks, cost reduction, space utilization and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace* Tracks product to schedule shift performance and strives for continual improvement* Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved* Ensures that operating policy and procedures are consistently maintained and current* Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all front line production staffOTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:* Ensures employee training is consistent with policy and procedural guides* Works directly with Production Manager, QC Manager, Maintenance Manager and cross-functionally with the Facilities and Maintenance department on projects to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses* Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department/team and creating a positive climate where people want to do their best. * Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's Principles, policies and applicable laws. * Accountable for communication, interviewing and hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, leveraging team and individual strengths, managing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems to ensure high performance results.* Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
