Ensure cGMP regulations are followed in all areas. Train production personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required. Review production orders and compare to inventory of current approved raw materials. Accurately maintain inventory records of raw materials and components. Prepare detailed production schedules to relay work instructions to production employees with enough lead time to meet production schedule techniques. Measure production performance to schedule and recommend corrective actions to bring the late product back unto schedule if possible. Expedite production where required. Supervise compounding operations to ensure batches are prepared per master manufacturing instructions. Coordinate activities between shifts where required to meet production schedules. Recommend improvements to production activities and systems used to maintain control of production. Maintain adequate communications with production planning and management to ensure that customer service can be maintained at an acceptable level of service to meet business objectives. Control budget expenses for department assigned. Request adequate levels of resources to meet objectives of department.
