Job Description:
Develop key performance indicator (KPI) reports and systems to drive continuous improvement including leadership team reviews * Lead initiatives focused on OEE, asset utilization & cost improvement UI Operations Support * Advise management and provide strategic direction on Lean Six Sigma project selection, integration, resources and prioritization. * Liaison between the UI Lean Six Sigma Champion and Operations * Support the development and deployment of the UI Operating System * Participate on teams to apply OpEx Assessments to other plants and functions Required Skills Required Skills * Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline required * A minimum of five years experience in continuous improvement/operations required * Lead/facilitate OpEx training in a classroom environment with hands-on exercises and simulations. * Experience in leading productivity improvement initiatives utilizing lean six sigma principles in both mfg and business systems applications * Solid background in manufacturing engineering with experience with Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, OEE, Change Over Reduction, Waste Elimination, etc. * Understand and practice Change Management; guide plant through the corporate culture change necessary to effectively adopt LSS as a management tool. * Experience with leading implementation and training others on structured problem solving, process control, balanced metrics, change control, experimental design, statistical process control, FMEA, Control Plans, Capability improvement, DMAIC, 8D and corrective/preventive actions. Leadership/Communication * Must be able to develop strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders Lead and influence cross functionally without formal reporting relationships * Must use a positive approach to continuous improvement challenges.
