Job Description:
Responsible for technical support and interface to the design engineers, QC, purchasing, shop operations, and external suppliers of equipment, tooling, and assemblies. * Lead the mfg. engineering team and will be responsible for standing/working instructions, labor standards, process flow/routings, VCP, investment and base cost. * Drive annual review processes for ME team, including Session C, EMS completion, op plan, etc.; coach and develop team members * Active participation in the technical issues at external product suppliers or contract manufacturers. * Other areas of team responsibility include plastic molding tooling and supplier evaluations, plant and equipment (P&E) investment budgeting and tracking, facilities management and maintenance including budgets, EMS supplier technical evaluations, and Quality team support as required. * Support EHS initiatives as required. May be involved in the development of manufacturing strategies that support larger business initiatives. Design and redesign existing manufacturing processes as required. Signature: ~CB~ Qualifications * BSME, BSIE or Bachelors degree in related field of study * Minimum 5 or more years manufacturing engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment * Demonstrated broad knowledge of all aspects of electronics manufacturing processes and equipment * Minimum 5 or more years of experience with ISO 9000/Lean Manufacturing/PC/Six Sigma/Design of Experiments (DOE)/VCP * Prior experience leading a team of direct reports in a manufacturing/supply chain environment * Highly motivated self starter with creative problem solving and proven leadership capabilities. * Strong team building, influencing and change management skills.
