This important position will report to the Plant Manager at our Valvoline plant located in Hernando, MS. As a Manufacturing Manager you must be a self-directed achiever and an engaging leader for the plants blender team. The manager will be responsible for the employees, procedures and the equipment involved in unloading raw materials from railcars and bulk trucks, bulk chemical tank farm, packaged raw material storage areas, chemical blending area, the packaging line filler conversion, rework and waste management for a multiple shift operation. The Hernando organization is very flat with only 3 levels, manufacturing area, manufacturing manager and plant manager. The position will be responsible for assisting the plant manager in setting the strategy to optimize this location's performance. The candidate needs to have the intellectual capability and leadership ability to take on higher level management positions (such as Plant Manager, Supply Chain Planning Manager, etc.) at this or another one of Ashland's global supply chain locations within 1-2 years. The position will supervise the day to day operations and will fill in for the plant manager frequently when engaged in corporate level work. Qualifications To qualify, you will need the following: • Bachelor of Science (BS) • Minimum of 5 years experience in chemical processing and packaging environment.
