Job Description:
The Clinical Research Director is responsible for: orchestrating the design, integration, and execution of their portfolio of clinical studies, adhering to the highest standards of regulatory and ethically-based clinical research. Staying current with the therapeutic area of focus and applies knowledge of the scientific literature and health economics issues to the development of clinical strategy and study design. Sustain awareness of the breadth of J&J clinical work globally, looking for opportunities to leverage it across the product portfolio of EES. Maximize corporate performance and minimizes risk through the application of scientific discipline and expert influence to the business needs of EES. Enabling influencing business strategy by conceptualizing and driving innovative approaches to the design, plan and execution of clinical strategies aligned with EES business needs. Professionally define clinical study parameters, deliverables and direction, and providing guidance, expertise and support to clinical operations staff. Build relationships and representing EES/J&J in the medical and scientific community, cultivating outside partners and resources for clinical studies. Demonstrate leadership to enhance team processes and work across functions to accomplish the goals of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs, EES and J&J. Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.QualificationsA minimum of a PhD in Scientific or Medical Discipline or M.D is required. A minimum of 5 years clinical trials experience is required.
