Job Description:
This position is the primary liaison with VP DMM's. As well as supervise, train and develop staff responsible for inventory allocations. Duties & Responsibilities: Partner with cross functional teams to execute sales and profit objectives through the building and managing of store replenishment plans. Develop; report; and analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities to achieve inventory related business results. Ensure that merchandise assortment plans accommodate store level inventory needs to meet GMROI, Turn and In Stock goals. Primary Inventory Management contact responsible for managing inventory levels to met promotional and special event in stock needs. Maximize profitability for the entire life cycle of the product by managing both the entrance and exit strategy. Ensure appropriate distribution channels are utilized to gain the most cost effective method of product replenishment to the stores. Supervise staff through assignment delegation, training, counseling, and periodic performance evaluations. Special projects as assigned. Education & Experience: A qualified applicant will possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED); a 4-year college degree in business, computers or related discipline; a minimum of seven years progressively responsible experience in retail operations specifically in a multi-unit, hard goods chain dealing with replenishment and allocation systems, including 2 years in s supervisory/managerial role; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
