Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and implement process and tool enhancements for manufacturing planning and control in a supply chain environment by leading teams and driving results cross-functionally. Guide the Manufacturing Planners in using a unified planning methodology and consistent reporting. Provide education of processes and tools to support the objective of having a high functioning interdependent planning system across the company. Monitor conformance to defined processes within the Manufacturing Planning Department, plants, and business units to maintain data integrity as it relates to the planning process. Measure, track, and communicate key performance metrics. Create a master schedule that can be used for detailed material/capacity planning as well as financial planning/ forecasting. Establish a working relationship with all company functions. Participate in Sales Planning, helping to set priorities when demand outstrips capacity. Run rough cut capacity planning weekly; maintain and update capacity data for all critical plant resources/work centers. Weekly review of each item on master schedule. Lead Production Planning Council Provides problem solving support to the Capacity Planning / Production Planning teams. Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.
