Job Description:
Provides coaching and leadership in the development of teams for high level performance, spreading the responsibilities out amongst various members, holds the team responsible for meeting schedules, conducting small group improvement activities (SGIA) meetings and supporting company efforts. Holds the teams accountable for conducting effective meetings, and giving the teams feedback on their performance and recognition for their achievements. Partners proactively with other shift supervisors to develop resolutions to employee issues. Works to ensure that all employees are treated equally and consistently across functional areas. Participates in the coordination and development of budgets, staffing plans, capacity plans, and other critical plans for effective short and long-term operation of the assigned area. Has a basic understanding of Ariel\'s business plan and works jointly with various departments, specifically, After-Market Services and Supply Chain, to ensure needs are met. Participate in a proactive manner in cross-functional teams in the development of employee job competency profiles, career-planning guidelines and work team responsibility areas within operational area based on the future needs of the Company. Actively participates in Supervisor Summits and other teams and meetings as required. Role models leadership for the company and the assigned area of responsibility in the carrying out of the job duties assigned within this position.
