A hotel seeks Director of Catering with 3+ years’ relevant experience The candidate will maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits in all catering areas. Develop and implement effective marketing plans for generating catering revenues. Carefully review all contracted services. Re-book business before they leave. Optimize room rental charges. Monitor sales performance of catering sales managers. Actively participate in community/civic activities to maintain awareness within community and to create booking opportunities. Maintain ongoing training program for catering employees. Work closely with the Chef on pricing specialty menus. The candidate should have 3+ years’ supervisory experience. Should have experience as director of convention services in a Hotel. Experience evaluating each piece of catering business. The ideal candidate should have worked in the position of sales or catering. Ability to put together creative and innovative menus based on skills of the kitchen. Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, and weekends.
