Job Description:
Direct budget planning process for all production, galley and housing operations. 5. Direct Production Managers and assist in communications with fishermen relative to production, quality of products, fishery regulations, deliveries of product and contracts. 6. Plan, budget and recommend capital budget requests for corporate approval. Once approved direct implementation of projects and ensure on time completion within budget. 7. Monitor industry activities and keep informed about any changes influencing the future of the industry and UniSea's operations. 8. Responsible for the continuing motivation and growth of subordinate supervisory staff in learning the details of the company's operations and in taking responsibility for the management of production. 9. Develop, implement and maintain Everyday Focus activities to ensure continuous improvements and cost efficiencies in position and department. SECONDARY DUTIES: 1. Responsible for planning, policy making and administration of housing and hourly compensation in conjunction with other members of the Housing and Compensation Committees. 2. Monitor personnel requirements with staff and Human Resources to ensure adequate levels and quality of personnel are maintained. 3. Monitor markets for product requirements, levels of production, and price levels to maintain most efficient and profitable production plan, meeting the needs or our markets.
