Responsible for preparing short and long term plans to meet production schedule requirements and at the same time, enhance the Department's efficiency, productivity and product quality while meeting the operational objectives.Key responsibilities include:* Formulate and implement manufacturing policies and programs to maintain and improve the competitive position and profitability of the operation. * Direct and coordinate production activities, in a multi- manufacturing structure including sterilization and extrusion services, so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and meet quality standards and cost objectives. * Report to the General Manager and direct activities through a team of managers.* Ensure that the department employees are in compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (Quality Systems Regulations), and other regulatory requirements. * Participate in the successful execution of the established goals for the SMART transformation strategy and other plant measurements performance.
