Job Description:
Ensures that all projects are implemented and executed with timeliness and accuracy. He or she looks for ways to continuously improve and streamline the operation - quality, cost, people, and service.* The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of supervisory experience (prepress, print or bind), the ability to drive for results, strong PC skills, and experience in a book manufacturing environment. College degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities 1. Supervises employees in manufacturing area of expertise. 2. Directs the activities of employees to ensure accurate communications and seamless operations within the company across shifts and departments and with transportation/other vendors. 3. Achieves a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership and the use of sound management and human relations principles.4. Maintains thorough knowledge of all mail, transportation and shipping processes, procedures, and equipment. 5. Works closely with customer service, scheduling and manufacturing departments to ensure timely production and delivery of customer product.6. Organizes work for efficient operations. Ensures that departmental goals, including safety, quality, KPIs are established and met.7. Administers policies and procedures and recommends changes as necessary.
