Job Description:
Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with engineering in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Set up schedules for production, assign employees to scheduled jobs and ensure compliance with SOP\'s. cGMP;s and safety procedures.2. Ensure availability of materials, equipment and paperwork.3. Determines priorities.4. Insures accurate completion of all paperwork and documentation including batch records, equipments etc.5. Attend and participate in the daily production meetings.6. Constantly looks for ways to improve work processes and results.7. Conduct interviews when hiring new employees.8. Train employees and maintain training records.9. Create incident, accident and counseling reports.10. Monitor Kronos and the point system on the computer.11. Conduct monthly departmental safety meetings.12. Perform daily safety audits.13. Report to department manager on departments issues, activities and accomplishments.DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Monitor efficiency and quality performance in the production areas. 2. Responsible for completed batch record review and reconciliation. 3. Responsible for production from material check-in up to pre-shipment completion of finished goods.4. Schedule personnel in accordance with production and commitment needs.
