Job Description:
This position is responsible for personnel management including interviewing, training, scheduling, conflict resolution and performance management.** On a daily basis assign duties and priorities to all pressroom staff in accordance to the production schedule.** On a daily basis monitor the production, waste and attendance for employees.** Ensure that all employees follow the manufacturing instructions, job tickets and specifications provided by the customer service and quality departments.** Monitor employees to ensure that assigned tasks and all jobs are being completed in a timely manner.** Conduct inspections for quality. ** Assist the Operations Manager in the training of all manufacturing employees.** Perform annual employee evaluations.** Provide detailed job status information as needed and monitor customer deadlines.** Provide a clean, safe and comfortable work environment for all employees.** Make recommendations for production improvements.** Interpret company policies and procedures to employees and enforces safety regulations.** Model RR Donnelley values of accountability, customer care, respect for others, teamwork and change through innovation.** Provide support and leadership toward teambuilding activities.** Provide support and develop lean production techniques.
