Job Description:
The Director of Clinical Research/Clinical Pharmacology is responsible for the design of clinical programs and studies, protocol development, and directing the execution of clinical pharmacology and efficacy trials that support both new and marketed OTC products. This position includes advanced knowledge in drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics, and broad knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug development to ensure that clinical programs and study designs meet both domestic and international project objectives. Although this position is mainly responsible for clinical pharmacology studies, the incumbent will assume responsibility for clinical efficacy, safety, or use trials as needed. This position interprets new and existing clinical data, and prepares written reports and clinical documents that support regulatory submissions, including briefing packages, marketing applications, and docket responses. Interacts directly with regulatory authorities (FDA and Global). Interfaces with contract research organizations on scientific content and technical analyses of study results, ensuring that they are appropriate. Helps explore and evaluate new product ideas to assist in identifying new marketing opportunities.
