Job Description: Associate Director / Director, Packaging Sourcing Bergen County, NJ Relocation Available: Yes Position Type: Materials Management Job Description Responsibilities of this position include: •Drives sourcing strategy for packaging to meet business requirements by ensuring: -financial objective - quality requirements - market demand - technical considerations. •Establishes appropriate business processes, including supplier management, to achieve a flexible, dynamic, cost effective supply chain for packaging materials while supporting the commercialization and launch strategies. •Define the appropriate infrastructure including people, process and systems and the alignment and linkages throughout. •Pro actively identify potential business issues and/or supply constraints, develop risk mitigation plans and escalate, as appropriate. •Support supply chain inventory targets. •Establish strong relationship and effective communication with key internal and external stakeholders. •Analyze marketing forecasts and launch strategies to assess the impact on requirements and capacities. •Interface with commercial manufacturing to understand capacity, volumes, schedules or other potential considerations or constraints. •Interface with technical and quality functions to understand specifications and requirements. •Analyze supply and sourcing alternatives and develop recommendations. •Conduct RFI/RFQ to identify potential suppliers, determine capabilities and outline cost implications (support COGS development) •Assess potential requirements for Europe, as required. Required Skills A successful candidate will have: •Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Package Engineering, Management, or related field; advanced degree desirable. •12+ years pharmaceutical experience in sourcing packaging components and services. •General computer literacy and MRP experience. •Minimum 8 years supervisory/managerial experience. •Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and leadership skills. .Pharma/Device/Cold chain experience is highly desirable. •Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and leadership skills. •Project management skills.
