Job Description:
Theater Mitu is filling a development staff position. As part of its long-range plan, Mitu is expanding its production schedule and education programs. Accordingly we are looking to create a relationship with someone with experience in not-for-profit fundraising, grant writing and development. Responsibilities would include:
-working collaboratively with Artistic Director and Company Management Director on brain-storming funding for project workshops and productions
-grant and funding opportunity research
-developing and maintaining relationships with new foundations
-writing of major grants and proofing of smaller grant proposals
-becoming an active member of the company’s steering committee
-taking a leading role in individual donor campaign
-taking a key role in strategizing support and fiscal maintenance of the company’s long range plan
The job would begin as a pro-bono position with the hopes of creating a long-standing relationship with the company and ultimately parlaying that into a paid staff position. We are looking for someone as soon as possible. For more information on the company please visit www.theatermitu.org.
