Job Description:
Provide expertise and guidance for experimental design. Provide assistance with in-depth quality review and interpretation of results. Recruit, train and develop all analytical, formulation, purification, DMPK/Bioanalytical scientists and associates. Contribute to setting direction for the project teams overall and with respect to specific disciplines in Analytical Chemistry. Interface effectively with other scientific disciplines especially pre-clinical and clinical development. Transfer methods and protocols to pre-clinical and clinical development and collaborate in refinement activities when required. Manage department budget, including laboratory supplies, external research grants, capital expenditures, contract research personnel and projects, and external project spending. Requirements Qualifications Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline with 7-10 years of drug development industry experience in Analytical Chemistry and DMPK. Demonstrated record of excellence, 2+ years in leadership and management of analytical, DMPK, and pharmaceutical chemists. Demonstrated record of driving drug discovery projects from hits to the selection of clinical candidates and the subsequent initiation of clinical trials.
