Job Description:
Building custom cabinets, displays, fixtures, specialty items, and trade show components.Working with wood, laminates, acrylic, plastic, fabrics, metal, and manufactured components. Capable of working from blueprints, scaled drawings and verbal descriptions with minimal supervision. Produce materials and cut list from drawings. Maintain stock inventories and order materials necessary to complete projects. Maintain accurate time and material records for each project. Must have good problem solving abilities. Must have the ability to work with other creative individuals and freely exchange ideas, knowledge, and experience.
Experienced in:
Using and maintaining: Table saws, Radial Arm saws, Planers, Joiners, Shapers, Panel Saws , Band saws, Routers, Laminate trummers, Miter Saws, Scroll saw, Spray equipment, hand tools.
Proficient in:
Use of all types of hand tools and shop equipment , Cabinet contstruction and joinery methods, Painting ( Lacquers, acrylic polyurethane, latex, enamels, stain lamination. Use of adhesives ( contact cement, epoxies, wood glue) Reading scales blueprints and drawings ( ability to read a scale)
Must have basic knowledge of :
Electrical Wiring, Lighting , Plumbing, Welding.
