Job Description:
The Protein Production Manager and Structural Biologist will provide hands-on management, administration and leadership to the cross-functional research teams, in order to ensure that projects proceed on time and within budget. Responsibilities of this role include directing and overseeing the performance of laboratory operations, data management, writing of manuscripts and grants, resource management, and quality control. The successful candidate will serve as the key operational interface between the Director, senior scientists, and research project teams. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS PhD in a related field of specialty including biophysics, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, cell biology, chemistry, or neuroscience In-depth knowledge of protein production and purification methodologies. At least 5 years of experience utilizing techniques such as NMR and X-ray diffraction to elucidate the structure of macromolecules. Candidates who have conduced structural studies of large protein complexes, fibers and/or aggregates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess excellent leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills as well as exhibit evidence of imagination in problem solving. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated superb command of written and spoken English.
