Job Description:
The successful candidate will be a clinical development expert with an analytical, scientific mind. This person will be responsible for clinical development strategy, clinical trial oversight and management, and support of clinical interactions with regulatory agencies. This individual will also participate in developing the long-range strategic plans for VIVUS pipeline products. The Director/Sr. Director will lead the design, implementation, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies. As a senior member of Clinical Development and reporting to the VP of Clinical, this individual will guide VIVUS team members in designing, planning, implementing, & executing clinical trials and programs in accordance with company SOPs, FDA, & ICH guidelines and regulations. They will be accountable for leading and the successful delivery of clinical milestones for the company. This person will possess a high level of expertise with clinical and regulatory requirements both locally and internationally regarding drug development processes and requirements.
