Job Description:
Realizations is a small, grass-roots human service organization based in Louisville. We develop customized supports to help adults with disabilities live in their own home, develop meaningful relationships, & play an important role in their community. Immediate openings for interesting people to share their talents, social connections, knowledge, & life experience in a one-on-one relationship. Specific job roles vary but could include:
Agent – Representing someone in positive ways to help them become an active contributor in their community – Joining a local book club, being politically active, finding a church, enrolling in school.
Teacher/mentor: passing on important knowledge and life skills necessary to live a typical, independent adult lifestyle: How to maintain a home, pay bills, use the internet, find a job, etc.
Personal care assistant (help with daily activities like bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.)
This is an important, rewarding opportunity to help another person build a fulfilling life! Experience not necessary. 10-25 hours a week, $11/hr; flexible scheduling. Please contact Keisha at (502) 498-0885, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
