Major Duties: Major duties and responsibilities include: The Electrician Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of six employees in the following specialties: elevator mechanic, electricians, electrician helper and electronic mechanics. She/he works under the general supervision of the Supervisory General Engineer of the Maintenance and Repair Section but plans the work, determining priorities ad independently lays out the work and inspects the work of employees on a day-to-day basis. She/he plans the use of the employees, materials, equipment and facilities on a week-to- week or month to month basis. She/he works from verbal instructions, blue prints, and drawings o contract specifications. The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable National Fire Codes. She/he lays-out and plans projects and repairs and oversees the shop's preventive maintenance program.
