Job Description:
An exceptional Automotive company in the Southeast has an immediate need to fill a position of General Assembly Engineering Manager in their manufacturing assembly plant. OEM / automobile assembly environment experience will be a plus. Description Lead teams of Assistant Managers, Group Leaders, and Team Leaders in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. Direct supervisor of process engineers, tool room/general stores personnel, and administrative assistant. Responsible for monitoring Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity, with daily improvement activities. · Support establishment of work zones to include: specification and purchase of hand tools, power tools, benches, cabinets, jigs, fixtures, manufacturing aids and other items required to make the production area fully operational. · Responsible for operational aspects of process equipment. Coordinate with Maintenance to engineer repairs, modifications, and upgrades. · Responsible for annual consumable materials/tool budget development and management · Serve as the leader in ergonomic improvement opportunities.
