Job Description:
Growing, worldwide manufacturer of electronic systems and engineered products – seeking an IT Systems Engineer. This position is responsible for providing support of manufacturing systems, interfaces, and software. Duties include: UNIX/Windows based systems, industrial printers, barcode scanning equipment on the factory floor; supporting IT and business initiatives to standardize technologies and processes across manufacturing plants while developing and implementing new manufacturing systems at all levels; and interacting with manufacturing process engineers. Job Requirements:
Education: 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills: 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of technologies used in the manufacturing setting including .NET, Visual Basic, Oracle and SQL Server databases, Java-based web applications, ERP, MES, automated machining and assembly lines, inventory control, barcode scanners, HMI/MMI, PLC. Experience in the analysis, design, testing and training related to computer systems used in the support of a manufacturing environment; strong problem-solving and trouble shooting skills; experience working in cellular and lean environment; excellent organizational, leadership, project management, and communication skills; the ability to travel; and occasional after-hours and weekend support may be required.
