As a Customer Service Representative you will work in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities consist of a variety of tasks at the airport involving customer contact/support operational duties. Specific areas of responsibility may include:

-Loading/stowing & unloading mail/cargo/baggage from conveyor belts, carts, trucks, & aircraft
-Work in the baggage arrival and Lost and Found areas and be required to lift items up to 70 pounds.
-Performing various aircraft servicing duties: cleaning windshields, Cleaning/vacuuming aircraft interiors
-Assisting customers with lobby directions
-Assisting customers with automated baggage check-in
-Assisting with flight boarding
-Resolving disservice situations

Representatives at our smaller stations, such as Vancouver International Airport, perform all ground support functions including baggage and cargo handling, aircraft dispatching, and other miscellaneous assignments. The work is performed out of doors in all weather conditions, on aircraft ramps and in cargo areas. You will be exposed to high noise levels and may be asked to operate motorized vehicles and equipment.

To accommodate the airport's operations, a wide variety of work shifts are required. Schedules for this assignment will be bid in training. Part-time schedules are normally four to six hours per day, 16 to 30 hours per week. The workweek consists of 5 days with two consecutive days off. Days off may rotate weekly or monthly.

Much of your work will be done on a computer, requiring some typing ability. You must also have a valid state driver's license, a good driving record and be at least 18 years of age. Salary is $11.38 CAD per hour.
