Job Description:
Beantown Staffing, LLC is seeking a senior-level GUI Software Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small startup environment and be comfortable playing several roles at the same time.
You will be responsible for the following:
-Leading all graphical user-interface (GUI) development for our client's core product
-Creating the user interfaces for our next-generation line of products
-Turning high-level requirements into intuitive and appealing interfaces
Job Requirements:
-Expert knowledge of the Java language (5 years minimum)
-Expert knowledge of current object-oriented architecture (OOA) and design (OOD) methodologies (5 years minimum)
-Extensive experience developing GUIs using the Java Swing toolkit, including UI layout and design for usability.
-Proven ability to develop and test in a mixed Linux and Windows environment
-Experience developing web-based GUIs is highly desired
-Solid working knowledge of C++ is highly desired
-Experience developing GUIs using other cross-platform toolkits is a plus
-Experience developing native Microsoft Windows GUIs (such as MFC and .NET) is a plus
-Experience developing J2ME GUIs is a plus
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic small team environment
-BS CS/EE or equivalent
