Windows Systems Administrator
We have an existing need for a Windows 2003 Systems Administrator for the largest wireless company in the United States, with more than 70 million subscribers who use the nation's largest digital voice and data network. They are dedicated to providing customers with wireless technology designed to enrich their lives. We're looking for Windows SA to play a key role in the success of several projects. Job Requirements:
* Three plus years experience as a Windows Systems Administrator
* Windows 2003 enterprise
* Citrix expertise
* Manage server and software updates.
* Implement planned maintenance.
* Work with application owners to analyze and resolved hardware, software, network, and configuration issues.
* Conduct command line and batch scripting as required.
* Maintain user accounts and groups
* Work with team to keep system documentation up to date.
* Hardware/OS monitoring tools such as HP SIM, HP OpenView, MOM, Big Brother, etc.
Bonus Skills
* Experience with system/data backup procedures and best practices desired.
* Should possess the ability to multi-task and work in a changing environment.
* Experience with Citrix Metaframe 3 and/or Presentation 4 a plus.
* Some knowledge of MS-SQL administration is a plus.
* SAN technology knowledge is a plus.
* Should possess the ability to multi-task and work in a changing environment.
* Candidates must also possess solid written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team effectively.
* Ability to communicate with multiple vendors and manage multiple tasks during a project.
* Early morning hours to support east coast available if interested
* IIS 5.0 and 6.0 administration and troubleshooting knowledge.
* Experience managing and troubleshooting a Microsoft DNS infrastructure.
* Must have good working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
* Extensive experience with LAN/WAN Networking and troubleshooting.
* General knowledge of applications and databases as it pertains to day to day OS administration.
