Job Description:
Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, systems integration and manufacturing configurations on composite structures.
Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Plans sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
Provides guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Interprets engineering models (MBD) for all build package intent, develops build plan to meet all engineering and specification requirements while maintaining cost and lean principles.
Confers with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
Supports production personnel in build process to meet engineering and specification requirements.
Qualified candidates will have a BSME,or BSSE as well as related aircraft/aerospace experience and experience working with system integration.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and six years of related experience.
Prefer someone with familiarity with SAP 5.0 and Team center Manufacturing.
Must have prior CATIA V5 and Enovia experience.
