Job Description:
You must be a United States citizen to apply. To be eligible for Federal employment, male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must certify at time of appointment that they have registered with the Selective Service System, or are exempt from having to do so under Selective Service law. A pre-employment physical examination will be required if selected for this position. This position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance. This position may require travel by military aircraft and/or commercial modes of transportation in the performance of temporary duty assignments. The Department of Defense (DOD) policy on employment of annuitants issued March 18, 2004 will be used in determining eligibility of annuitants. You must be removed from your military recall status if alternatives for this position during an emergency are not available. Heavy physical effort is used by constantly reaching, bending, turning and moving hands, arms, feet and legs to handle different sets of controls to operate the equipment and attachments. Considerable strain is caused by the constant vibration of the equipment and the jerking and jolting from operating over rough surfaces.
