Ensures emergency responses by police personnel are dispatched in accordance with installation Requirements. Assigns work to employees and sets performance standards. Applies leadership and counseling consistent with Army Regulations and FM 6-22, Army Leadership. Coordinates personnel administrative matters. Leverages the COPS system to effectively share information and to develop police reports. Reviews police reports, forms, and records for compliance with Army and local regulations. Ensures office files and records are maintained in accordance with the Modern Army Record keeping System. Synchronizes the emergency response of police assets. General Schedule Highly-qualified candidates will demonstrate in their resume one year of specialized experience at the next lower payband/level. Specialized experience includes, but is not limited to: Knowledge of Army and local regulations and federal and state laws, codes, and statues that require considerable training and experience to perform a full range of operations in preventing or resolving offences. Knowledge and experience to perform police tasks of pursuing and apprehending persons fleeing a crime scene or attempting to resist arrest; subduing individuals causing disturbances, such as family disputes, identifying and arresting violators based on eyewitness accounts, performing, desk sergeant, control desk, or dispatcher duties involving passing of directions and information to officers on patrol assignments, conducting emergency responses between security, fire and other emergency units and receiving and acting on calls concerning reports of violations or complaints; taking charge of a crime or accident scene and restricting access to those persons required on the scene; seeking, detecting, and protecting evidence and witnesses at the scene of an incident; taking statements from witnesses; clarifying conflicting statements; interrogating suspects; detaining witnesses and suspects; making arrests and performing booking procedures; turning over to investigators information gathered at the scene of an incident; participating in short-term investigations under the control of investigators.
