Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide superior customer service. Assists Warehouse Manager in hiring and supervising warehouse and receiving staff and oversees the completion of all daily work assignments. Maintains time and attendance records, scheduling and performance appraisals to ensure the completion of department work objectives and adherence to policies. Coordinates the elimination of dead stock in order to assist in reducing inventory variances. Assists in the month-end inventory of warehouse stock and resolution of inventory invoices Evaluates warehouse/receiving operations and makes recommendations for changes, assisting the Warehouse Manager in the planning for efficient use of warehouse facilities. Trains staff in the use of warehouse/receiving equipment and monitors safety standards, making any needed adjustments to assure compliance with regulations and safety practices. Functions in any of the nonexempt warehouse and receiving positions as needed. Involved in all Receiving/Warehouse functions of MMS including but not limited to initiating inventory stock orders, receiving functions, par stock management, inventory functions and other system functions to allow for the timely and efficient completion of warehouse/receiving operations.
