Develops long range and strategic plans for the department. Direct supervision of exempt and non-exempt employees. Ensures the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through good maintenance and preventative maintenance practices. Continuously evaluates preventative maintenance tasks, frequencies and effectiveness. Evaluates equipment condition and performance, recommending upgrades where necessary. Assists with skill development of department personnel. Responsible to ensure that all manufacturing facilities at McPherson are fully compliant with cGMP's and corporate standards. This includes management of the aseptic and surrounding manufacturing area functions. Continually evaluates procedures, equipment and personnel to achieve improved performance and efficiency. Manages facility upgrades, shutdown work, and budgets to maintain/improve existing plant facilities.Skills/Experience Education/CertificationBachelor's degree required, preferably in science or engineering. 3-5 years experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a regulated environment. Previous supervisory experience is required. Requires demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and operating systems of control. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work on multiple projects.
