Job Description:
Ensure proper alignment of our inbound supply chain, drive for continuous improvement our cost position, and be actively involved with product improvement and development in support of Citrus Systems business strategies. Manage and coordinate sourcing activities -- develop, lead, and implement business cost reduction strategies through sourcing to improve our cost position without sacrificing quality; evaluate and coordinate sourcing opportunities in US and low cost regions; and develop and ensure the effective use of procurement tools such as on-line sourcing events for new and existing commodities. This individual will also: Support product development & improvement programs by sourcing new technologies from qualified suppliers. Lead the qualification process. Assist Engineering by challenging existing suppliers to recommend more cost effective and/or more reliable products that will improve our competitive position. Evaluate and segment the supply base to determine the appropriate mix of suppliers. Work with Materials Manager and Buyer/Planners on supply chain adjustments. Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers, supply markets, and competitive dynamics. Manage supply chain risk in the form of contracts, commodity management, price mechanisms, etc. NOTES: North American Residents Only. Employer will assist with relocation costs Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering; MBA strongly desired A minimum of 8 years of strategic sourcing experience primarily focused on developing innovative supply lines through US and low-cost countries. Significant, hands-on experience developing a sourcing infrastructure in the U.S. and Low Cost Countries. Working knowledge of fully integrated ERP and Quality systems. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of people, as well as external vendors. Ability to work within a team environment and contribute significantly to team performance. PC skills including, proficiency in MS Office products.
