This position is located in the Business and Logistics Support Department, Maintenance Cadre, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune. The incumbent supervises the maintenance and military OJT instructional process for the repair and testing of a variety of electronics equipment, optical instruments, small arms and automotive work in support of IIMEF. This position is that of a first line supervisor. This position requires a security clearance. Performs acceptance, initial, inline and final quality control inspections of various small-bore weapons turned in for repair or rebuild. Determines if equipment is economically repairable by testing the weapons with precision gauges and measuring test equipment. Refers to technical manuals, publications and guidelines in inspecting the items. Performs estimated cost of damages and equipment classification inspections. Provides small-bore weapons maintenance OJT to military personnel. Prepares equipment classification documents.
