Job Description:
The incumbent is responsible for maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, alterations, and renovations of the of the Engineering Section of the Maintenance Unit, which is comprised of the electrical, pipefitting, plumbing, maintenance mechanic, equipment mechanic, and architectural trades. He/she plans, schedules, coordinates and directs work assignments, orders supplies and materials, and evaluates employee performance. The incumbent has full range of supervisory duties over journeymen, at wage grades WG-10 and WG-9, and intermediate grade workers, WG-8, in the maintenance unit trades. Qualifications: OPM X118-C, WG-4749 Series. There is no specific length of training or experience required, however, applicants must demonstrate possession of the JOB ELEMENTS required to perform the duties of the position. You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
