Job Description:
Answer incoming 9-1-1, emergency and non-emergency calls.Monitor and Communicate with Police Officers via a multi-agency trunked radio system. Enter calls for service in a Computer Assisted Dispatch system. Enter, search and retrieve data in numerous Windows based databases. Coordinate emergency response by Police Fire and Ambulance services.
Job Requirements:
Ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations, while multi-tasking. Keyboarding skills. Map reading skills, provide directions, information and instructions to people on many different levels. Must be organized and possess a desire to help others. Must make good decisions and able to prioritize incidents, radio traffic and phone calls. Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
