This position will interact with the Refinery Leadership team regularly and will be a point of contact for the Global Manufacturing HES and PSM Managers. Operational Excellence and PSM provides structure and guidance for most facets of the Refinery Business. Position Details : Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: LEADERSHIP Operational Excellence: Champion the OE Management System work processes; demonstrate personal leadership, knowledge, and engagement in the OE Management System work processes and tools at the Refinery level. Work with the Refinery to fully implement, improve, and sustain the OE management system. Ensure that OE performance accountability is clearly assigned throughout the line organization at all levels and that operational excellence is supported by management actions, including reward and recognition (provide coaching to line management to improve their effectiveness as needed). Provide leadership and input to OE design sub-teams (when requested) and conduct OE training, as needed, in the Refinery. Work with Refinery leadership to ensure that there is a balanced approach to the four elements of OE. Process Safety Management: Demonstrate personal leadership, knowledge and engagement in PSM. Provide overall guidance and management of the PSM systems at the refinery by working with the Refinery Leadership Team and the GM PSM Center of Excellence to achieve world class OE performance. Work with Global Manufacturing, process advisors and MSP advisor to ensure resource needs for PSM improvements are understood and planned for and that the improvements are understood on a high level by the Refinery Leadership Team. Ensure alignment with Global Refining on implementation schedules and resource needs for PSM.
